Ahead of Snowbombing 2012, Rompa’s Reggae Shack launches in London on the 4^th Feb 2012 at Les Oubliette, 281 Kingsland road in East London. DJs on the night include Snowbombing veteran and tracksuit party DJ and promoter DJ Tayo. Also behind the wheels of steel are Markle and JBliss representing 2^ND Drop Records. Other DJs on the line-up are SL1, Savage Henry, Daddy Nature and Fattie Boom Boom taking up residence duties. Other special guests joining us on this launch night include Neas and DJ Dark representing DPM.  Head down to Les Oubliette on the first Saturday of the month to catch Rompa’s Reggae Shack in 2012, expect some big names passing through in the next coming months. This night is dedicated to reggae in all its forms and is about pure vibes. Music is a mission, not a competition.

Rompa’s Reggae Shack – Snowbombing 2012 – DJ Tayo Mix by Daddy Nature

Known for his infamous Tracksuit Party nights, pivotal work helping to build many of London’s underground sounds, pioneering work in the breakbeat scene and a global DJ career that encompasses a plethora of genres, now our mate Tayo has stepped up to raise some well needed cash for Britain’s struggling young homeless community.

When we caught up with Tayo at Snowbombing last month we heard of his massive fundraising effort for Centrepoint “the national charity that supports and campaigns for homeless young people.” Running the epic London Marathon his efforts have already raised close to £4,000 of well needed cash for this pivotal charity, which strives to help young British people get themselves out of poverty and change their lives for good by learning key life skills.

In our post Snowbombing recovery we neglected this post but whilst fully aware that the Marathon is long gone, we can assure you Tayo’s been putting the work in hard (he was off the booze at Snowbombing which is no mean feat) and ran his heart out a couple of weeks back!
