Ms Dynamite takes to the stage this Saturday to headline our massive 4th Birthday rave and ahead of the set we’ve just released an exclusive interview with the lady herself!

The original UK garage ‘bad gyal’ has grown into one of the most celebrated MCs in the country, with a Mercury Music prize and two Brit Awards under her belt, plus a string of both underground smashing and chart busting hits, including the recent ‘Lights On’ with Katy B and collaborations with Magnetic Man, Redlight and DJ Zinc, not forgetting the original, Sticky produced garage banger ‘Booo’!

We’re overly hyped for her performance, so to get things warmed up, we’ve just released an exclusive video interview with the lady herself, filmed after her show at Snowbombing this year! Get to know her roots, plans for 2011, the tried and tested Ms Dynamite hangover cure and the tunes that influenced her huge career…plus a serious love of chocolate! Spectrum 10th Birthday this Friday! | A decade of dropping beats

This Friday, UK wide party starters Spectrum turn 10 and are set to celebrate with a warehouse rave of epic proportions at London’s Ewer Street Car Park! To mark ‘a decade of dropping beats’ the Spectrum crew present a very special DJ set from drum & bass stalwarts, Pendulum, supported by dubstep major player Joker and queen of the underground and chart topping vocalist, Ms Dynamite. This Saturday, the Urban Nerds Autumn UK mini-tour takes to Bristol to hook up with Crazylegs as part of Bristol In:Motion, as we take over the mighty Motion club with one of the biggest underground line-ups going! The Nerds crew are more than excited to finally be touching down in Bristol for the first time and couldn’t think of a better night in which to kick-off our West Country debut. With Crazylegs throwing raves for the Bristol party people thick and fast at the moment, to mark their return to the Motion Skatepark, they’ve hooked up with Urban Nerds to welcome a dazzling cast of UK talent, headlined by a couple of absolutely legendary figures. Come join us as we get loose to the sounds of of this lot…

Snowbombing 2011 | First live acts announced!

Earlier today Snowbombing announced the very first of what’s set to be their biggest ever line-up, with a selection of next level live performers to get the ball rolling! With Ms Dynamite, Professor Green, Example and Tinie Tempah already on there, you know 2011′s festival is definitely gearing up to cater for all the Urban Nerds heads out there. After some drunken words with the Snowbombing crew at our Fabriclive party a couple weeks back, we’re also hyped to the max about some of the world class dubstep DJs on the bill but for now, our lips are sealed! Don’t forget to get your Snowbombing 2011 trip booked with Urban Nerds as places are selling out FAST! Cop a load of this though…

Urban Nerds spinner Ordio Kid takes to the decks again to record a fresh mix in honor of Nerds’ first landing in Bristol for Urban Nerds X Crazy Legs, with an absolutely huge line-up at the massive Motion! Our resident grime aficionado has drawn for a mash-up of beats and vocals to present 30 minutes of upfront garage, grime and funky back to back with some classic gems! There’s fresh bangers from Ms Dynamite and Mz Bratt, two female vocalists who seem to be leading the way after massive collabs with the likes of Zinc and Redlight.
