This Saturday 14th January, Urban Nerds favourites Chew The Fat return to Cable, joining forces with tare-out dubstep folk Dub All Or Nothing to present a mouth watering, bass fueled start to the year with Bare Noize, Chasing Shadows and Bullet Train Records back-t0-back with Nerds fam Black Butter Records, featuring the unstoppable Marco Del Horno and ones to watch Noisses and Woz!

This Friday at the mammoth Urban Nerds & Snowbombing Halloween Special, Scottish rave king and supporter of bass in all its forms, Hostage will headline Room 2 which is hosted by rising London born and bred label, Black Butter Records. Ahead of the Black Butter takeover, we put 10 quick questions to the label to find out what’s in store for Crucifix Lane this Friday and looked over some of their biggest releases yet!

An imprint moving from strength-to-strength, Black Butter supports the grittier end of the ever expanding bass-led scene with a distinct collective of producers under its wing, citing influences as broad as jungle, drum & bass and breakbeat to house, techno and 2-step, as well as ragga, dancehall, reggae and of course grime and dubstep. The crew are showcasing this genre-defying ethos with Woz and Noisses joining RackNRuin & MC Koast (fresh from releasing the massive ‘Sginal’ featuring P Money and Koast), Trouble & Bass collaborators Tomb Crew, dancehall and bass blenders Warrior One & MC Serocee, plus the UK Funky duo responsible for this year’s underground anthem ‘Deep In The Valley’, Rudimental & MC Shantie! Ahead of our massive Urban Nerds 4th Birthday at Scala, we’re dropping a huge series of exclusive mixes from some of the biggest DJs on the underground circuit that are gearing up to take to the decks at this huge rave on Saturday 28th May!

Better late than never is definitely the case with this one, this sick new video from Marco Del Horno dropped at the end of February for the latest hit bound rhythm from one of our favourite London producers, Marco Del Horno! ‘Lose Myself’ features lyrics from original UK garage don B Live and the soulful vocals of McLean over another of Marco’s top notch tunes. The result is a ravey dubstep infused hit in the making that could herald Marco’s first commercial smash with this accessible anthem!

In true Del Horno style, there’s also a tasty string of deeper, darker remixes to keep the rave going, including our favourite electro mash-up from The Living Graham Bond!
