What with all the mindless stupidity that kicked off two weeks ago in the capital and further afield, we though it only right to shed some light on a competition aimed at helping the youth community who may not have easy access to resources that help them achieve their goals and aspirations within the music industry. We’ve been asked, amongst others, to judge the final entries. So here is the information……..
“This summer ‘ArtsTrain’ community music project is working in partnership with Sainsbury’s Super Saturday event to provide a young music artist with the opportunity of a life time. If you are aged 13-25 and want a chance to make a break into the music industry then the ‘Get Heard’ competition could be your chance. Each entrant is given access to a bank of music samples to create their own track and the option to add their own vocals. The tracks will then be judged by a panel of industry music professionals. The winner will have the chance to play out their track at Super Saturday and join the line up of top UK stars; Chipmunk, Taio Cruz”.
This seems like a nice competition so spread the word to all those budding artists out there that you may know and tell your brothers and sisters. To enter the competition simply email a sentence about yourself to keith.sykes@bromleymytime.org.uk or call 07806708162 to receive the competition rules and the list of samples. Good luck.
