Mad Decent’s Manchester hot tip Jayou is moving from strength to strength as the young producer continues to take on the underground with his own brand of bass heavy electronica like there’s no tomorrow! Since some badass airplay on Diplo & Switch’s Major Lazer Radio 1 Essential Mix way back when in 2009, Jayou’s hit the booth with a string of mighty gigs for the likes of Bugged Out, Bigger Than Barry and yours truly…Urban Nerds! Then there’s the mad love from the likes of the much respected Discobelle and the collaboration with Diplo on a remix of ‘The Partysquad’ which went to number 1 on the Hype Machine chart. As if that’s not enough, he’s remixed Diplo and Lil Jon’s ‘I Don’t Like You’ and taken to the buttons to mash-up official mixes for Marina And The Diamonds, The Very Best, Young Fathers…the list goes on!
Now, Jayou’s back in the studio for the legendary Brighton based imprint and 1990s ‘big beat’ champions, Skint Records and Skint sub label, Under 5s! ‘Crack Hands’, the very same joint that’s weaved its way from that Major Lazer Essential mix, through the world wide web and into hundreds of bass fueled DJ sets finally gets a long awaited release this October! Delivering Jayou’s ultimate bass infusion over head banging kicks and snares and tummy-rumbles…it’s the ultimate party starter!
To celebrate the forthcoming release, we’re stocking up our iPods and stereos with Jayou’s Zoot Money Mixtape which of course boasts Crack Hands, plus Ghost, alongside some of our favourite dubstep and gut wobbling bangers. Who’s up for a bit of Magnetic Man, Duck Sauce and the mighty ‘Woo Ridim’, not to mention Rattus Rattus and Klose One favourite, The Freestylers super bad ‘Cracks’ (Flux Pavilion remix)? It’s all there, get your download on and get skanking…
